Q: As long as I have a good cushion won’t a less expensive carpet wear as well as an expensive one?
A: Use of a carpet pad is recommended for both carpeting and rugs.
The cushioning effect of padding will reduce the impact and effects of traffic on the fibers but will not protect the surface of your carpet or rug from degradation and soiling that results from everyday use.
Less expensive carpets are generally less expensive because they are made from lower quality or less dense fibers that will not hold up as well or retain their appearance like those used in more expensive carpets and rugs.
Throughout our history, we have successfully completed thousands of projects, from small residential carpet installations to large multi-use projects using carpet, hardwood, tile, linoleum, and more. Below is just a small collection of all of our work.

This custom home in Shoreline began as a 1400 s/f daylight basement. It now boasts over 4000 s/f covering 4 floors with a wine cellar, media room, wet bar and library. Our portion of the project included over 3000 s/f of stretch-in carpet, custom stairs, intricate upholstery work and pattern matching custom-ordered wool carpet. Case Study: Ecohaus Bellevue
Ecohaus (formerly Environmental Home Center) is one of our most trusted partners. Ecohaus is the nation’s largest retailer of “green” building materials, interior finishes and home improvement options. Their expertise and products range from simple sensor-light switches to composting toilets, from sustainable structural lumber to beautiful recycled glass tile, as well as eco-friendly paints, finishes, and other coatings.
Our work in their Bellevue showroom utilized all of their products — PET carpet tile from Shaw, Marmoleum plank, Kahrs engineered hardwood, and Ecohaus’ own line of Vida cork plank. The result: a warm and inviting feeling from the moment you step in their store.
Case Study: Brighton Gardens
Brighton Gardens of Bellevue is an assisted-living facility, specializing in the care of elderly residents. This project required a significant level of care and patience, as the areas we installed were corridors, common areas, and a TV lounge. The 3-day process was performed overnight to minimize the impact on residents and staff. Brighton Gardens is just one of many assisted living facilities we work with in Western Washington. We have maintained a close working relationship with many of the property maintenance staff to ensure a positive experience from beginning to end.
